This place exceeded our expectations, it is beautiful, and curated with every detail to make one feel pampered and the stay a joyous one. The flat is in a great location within walking distance to all the attractions in town. It is quiet with working AC, a featured not to be overlooked. My husband and I have rented holiday homes around the world for over a decade. While we’ve been fortunate to have some fantastic hosts we still visit with to date, Stephan is by far the most thoughtful host we’ve had. He has perfected the art of hosting. By the second day, it felt as if we had a local friend. He was a great resource during our trip. I encourage anyone to trust his suggestions as he has impeccable taste and a strong sense of the town, restaurants, boulangeries etc. It doesn’t hurt he extends his local relationships for that ocasional special treatment as well. His tours are not to be missed. We did a tour with him and it was the most memorable day during our trip. He has great knowledge of the history and culture of the area. I had such a lovely restful stay. The bed was scrummy and the pillows divine. I enjoyed the champagne, chocolates, fresh espresso and charming space. Filtered water from the tap was a lovely surprise. Close to the inner hub of restaurants and so on...and fantastic air conditioning as the days were quite hot. Self contained unit and everything you could want or need. I would highly reccomend.

A truly luxurious and incredible place to stay. It is beautifully decorated with unique art, gorgeous fabrics and was designed for the comfort and pleasure of guests, including a very comfortable bed and a great shower. The owner has supplied the guest with champagne, soft drinks, port, cognac, snacks, cookies, candies, tea and fresh ground coffee (at no extra charge.). The location was terrific for exploring Avignon and the host could not have been more helpful. He kept our car at his house and made it available to us whenever we wanted it. Literally - there was nothing that could be improved upon. It was an enormous pleasure to stay there. We have stayed in many private spaces over the years. This one was light years ahead of the rest.

We stayed at Les Anges in Avignon in July 2021, during the theater festival.
The first person we met in Avignon was Stephan, the owner and the host, who picked us at the railway station in a very comfortable car, with a charming welcome full of stories about the city.
We arrived at the luxury apartment, which appeared even more beautiful than suggested by the website's description and pictures. The atmosphere was magic, with a tasteful design and attention to detail. A cooed bottle of Champagne awaited us. The fridge and kitchen cabinets were full of products for breakfast and small meals for a few days. We enjoyed making coffee with an espresso machine and its wide choice of capsules. The bed and linen were very comfortable, and the bathroom was fully equipped with high-quality units and excellent bath products. The apartment was very clean and shining. In addition, chocolate, alcohol, books, and music added to the charm of the place. The apartment is located in the heart of the old city of Avignon, in a perfect location.
By staying at Les Anges, we got a wonderful place to stay and a marvelous host, Stephan, who gave us the impression that he is there to solve any problem, related or not to the apartment. In addition, Stephan is a man of culture with whom it is a pleasure to converse with.

Beautiful place, great location for 2 people in Avignon

Stephan has renovated a Studio apartment in Avignon beautifully. It is clean, bright and has all the amenities (great fast wifi too!) that you need. He has really thought of everything. He let us know where to park, met us at the parking lot 5 minutes from the house, and then had lots and lots of advice on what to do and where to eat. I wish I had contacted him sooner and asked more to prepare for the trip as he truly is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about how to get the most out of Avignon in both sights and food.

Les Anges is outstanding and the host Stephan is a wealth of knowledge and service! Kind and friendly, he helped us plan our stay and helped make it a very romantic dream. It is the only 5 Star Airbnb in the city. From picking us up at the train station to dropping us off the entire stay was blissful. We took a couple of his private tours including a day long Dream of Provence which were all perfect to see sites not easily accessed without renting a car. Stephan could not have been a more exceptional host. He provided parking at his home outside the historic district and furnished transportation back and forth to the pedestrian-only area where his gorgeous apartment is located whenever we requested it. The property itself is hands-down the most beautiful AirBNB we have ever experienced - and we use AirBNB often! The period furnishings are absolutely stunning and an array of special touches made us feel right at home. His recommendations made our stay even more special than we expected it to be. Amazing stay in Avignon with a fantastic host

The property has everything a guest needs for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and a nice sitting area for two. The kitchen was well stocked with a wonderful coffee machine and fresh beans to start the day off right. Large windows that open to let in a lot of light and fresh air. My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a trip to France. We spent months researching and planning. Our trip began in Paris, then to Lyon, and the grand finale - four nights in Avignon. Everything! It is an amazing place. The pictures don’t do it justice. This apartment is in the best position- a short walk from the palace and other attractions. Well equipped with everything one would need and more. Fabulous Property and Host! This luxurious apartment is truly a five minute from almost anything within the city walls. The host had lots of snacks, wine, champagne and cognac (and some divine chocolate cover almonds) awaiting our arrival. The in suite washing machine and drying rack were a godsend for those who travel light as we do. Having an Italian espresso machine with fresh ground coffee was an over the top bonus.

Location of the apartment is right at the heart of Avignon. It is artistically decorated, and comes with many thoughtful fixtures and appliances. Stephan is a fantastic host. He is very knowledgeable and is keen to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. He readily provides suggestions and recommendations for restaurants and things to see. Spot on! He also provided Champagne, beer and other beverages, both alcohol and non-alchohol, free of charge. We were a little torn between chilling in the apartment vs heading out for the sights. :-)

If you are driving, note that there is no on-site parking near the apartment. Stephan will offer his own villa parking for your convenience, but it is a 5-10 mins ride in his car. That could well turn out to be a blessing in disguise, especially if you have a big sized car, coz the roads within the Avignon old city is very narrow.

Provence Luxury at its finest!

Stephan was an amazing host who pulled out all the stops to provide a 5 star resort experience in a beautiful apartment in the heart of Avignon. The streets are VERY tight so we parked at Stephans residence and he drove us to the apartment. This added about 30 minutes to our check in process, but we were so glad considering the road situation. The apartment is well appointed with no detail missed. A small washing machine was perfect for a mid-trip refresh. Phone chargers were a nice touch so we didn't have to pull ours out. Champagne, cognac, and chocolates were also provided, which helped take the experience over the top. Stephan was extremely responsive on WhatsApp and was great at providing recommendations for local fare and things to do. He even made our dinner reservations so we didn't have to worry about it. I would highly recommend Les Anges and will definitely be back to stay here in an amazing little city that we fell in love with in just two short days!
